Hike to La Concha

Very nice long hike (sendero) from El refugio de Juaner to Pico de La Concha to see perfectly over the whole coast!
Warning: Do not try this if it’s too hot or if you doubt your physical condition
Recommendation: Do this if the sky is clear, otherwise the views can be a disappointment.

You will need:

    • Good pair of sneakers or hiking shoes

    • Backbag

    • At least 2 liters of water or aquarius (I recommend) and some snacks

    • A friend, do not go alone and at least let someone know where you are

    • Phone and camera

FYI:

    • You might not get a good signal during the start and the end of the hike because you will be deep between the mountains. Usually when you get higher, the signal is good, I even did a video-call from the peak of La Concha.

    • The route does not include parts where you really have to climb but you will be tired after doing this

    • The official route is marked with white and yellow markings, sometimes it can be hard to follow the official route due to lack of markings.

I am in quite a good shape and the whole route is apprx 14 kilometers and time for walking was 4hours 30min there and back. I would recommend to reserve 7-8 hours including the car drive (from Casa Aurora) to the starting point.

Take some snacks also with you and enjoy the views and rest when you reach the peak!

I will add downloadable GPX-file in this post so you can sync it with your Garmin watch or other devices. Also the starting point and the whole route in Google Earth can be seen below.

Enjoy!

House is perfect for couples and families with children. We have 2 small children ourselves so everything have been designed primarily to meet our needs and we are sure you will be happy too.

We are a Finnish family with 2 children and a little dog. We bought this house in March of 2022 and immediately renovated and equipped it to our needs and demands. The urbanisation itself offered good services, but for remote work and entertainment the house was not that well-equipped. We immediately wanted to change that!

Scandinavian style furniture and other main amenities are one of the main things that we have been taking care of. We also needed to fit our kids in the same bedroom and the ceiling height made it possible to create beautiful sleeping loft to solve that problem. Now one room has 2 queen size beds and quiet space for both of them.

Also the furniture was very bulky and disgusting so we threw all those out and replaced them with something better. Also the terraces were just basically empty and ugly spaces so we fixed those too.

If you happen to choose our home to have a staycation or nice place for a remote work period under the sun, we really think you will enjoy!
